The TechJoy™ Career Academy
If you don't get a job 6 months after being promoted to Jr Dev it's on us...
While 1 in 3 tech professionals with years of experience are sending out HUNDREDS of resumes hearing nothing back…
…our students are rapidly learning languages and frameworks while making AI work for them to become irreplaceable, landing high paying tech jobs with ease.
Because the reality is, it’s not JUST about coding anymore and zoning in on one language forgetting everything else.
The market has changed.
The days of easy CRUD app jobs are over.
Companies want specialists who have deployment experience in production to handle complex systems and workflows.
The problem?
Most aspiring developers don’t have the experience, skills, or resume to get noticed by these companies.
This is why we’ve had students share with us that they previously sent out HUNDREDS of resumes hearing nothing back.
In order to land the SE-Tier jobs…you need to Think Like a Coder.
Where you can rapidly pick up new languages and frameworks in a weekend.
While demonstrating how skills tie into business ROI to ensure you never get laid off.
That’s why our Sovereign Coders never get replaced and never worry about AI taking their job.
They are irreplaceable because they create tangible ROI for every business they set their virtual foot in.
Instead of wasting thousands in another bootcamp or on more degrees you’ll rapidly move through our unique system to fall in love with coding and land a high paying coding job, likely in this order:
At TechJoy, we know you are juggling a lot - a career, supporting friends & family, and having time for you. That's why we offer training on your terms, in your time.
If you have 2 hours per day, we can help you get there.
The more non-coding tech experience you have, the faster you can put these skills to work increasing your salary. We've seen students qualify for the internship and get on the job market in as little as 1-2 months.
Those with little coding or tech experience should expect to take 8-12 months to master the skills and get on the job market.
After joining the Joy of Coding Academy internship he got a $70K offer for a 100% remote dev job.
He was 1 of 4 Joy of Coding Academy interns who interviewed.

Yosh was tired of working at his local pizzeria. Despite being an expert interviewer and having some experience, he struggled to get an offer. Yosh mastered thinking like a coder in just two months. By working alongside our Sr Software Engineer mentors and following our warm interview model, he was able to get an offer.

Hands-On Training: Work on real-world projects from day one on the internship. Forget classroom theory—this is about building actual skills.
Career Coaching & Interview Prep: We don’t just teach you to code; we help you ace your interviews and negotiate the salary you deserve.
Access to Our Exclusive Hiring Network: We connect you with top companies actively hiring our graduates.
We Work With You to Pick Your Career Path
Not sure which tech career path is for you? No problem.
We're the only training program that allows you to pick an area of specialization after you begin the program.
In other programs, you'd have to buy each specialized program separately and invest tens of thousands of dollars.
At the TechJoy Career Academy, we customize the learning experience to your specific career goals.
Our program prepares students for dev careers like Full Stack Web Developer, Data Scientist, AI Engineer, Dev Ops Engineer, Quality Assurance Engineer, and Project Manager.
Starting salaries typically range from $70-$100K (although our students have gotten offers as high as $150K).
Students typically receive a job offer within 3-6 months after completing the training.

Inside the TechJoy Career Academy, students learn python, JavaScript (JS), HTML, and CSS. Dr. Emily recommends all new coders master the basics in python - it’s currently the easiest starter language available. (Dr. Emily has over 15 years experience training n00bs how to program, and has tried them all.) Python is used by major companies like Google, NASA, and Netflix, and is one of the fastest ways to qualify for beginning coding positions in data science and data analytics.
After mastering the fundamentals & preparing for the tech interview, students move on to learning languages that they’ll use on the internship. For Full Stack, that includes HTML, CSS, nextJS, and react and a whole host of testing & DB infrastructure like PostgreSQL or cypress. For Data Science, that will depend on the particular project, but will likely include python.
Learning to code is a marathon, not a sprint. We recommend committing a minimum of 10 hours per week, two hours per day to maintain progress. The program can be completed with as few as 5 hours per week, but expect to take longer. Consistency is key so you don’t lose momentum or have to backtrack if you take so long between practice sessions that you begin to forget what you’ve learned. Think of learning to code like learning another language.
Because our program adapts to you and your schedule, how long it takes depends on how much time you can consistently set aside each week as well as your prior experience. We have seen advanced students qualify for the internship in as little as a weekend.
Students have received job offers in as little as 2 weeks or as long as 12 months. Most students receive a job offer within 8 months after beginning our training program, although students with no prior coding experience can take longer than that. Students with prior tech experience often see job offers after completing the first 2 months of the program.
As pro coders, we know that sometimes things don't work on the first try. Here are some backup options to try if the weekly payment option, Klarna or Afterpay doesn't work out.
Paypal Credit - 0% APR for 6 months
Friends & Family can be an excellent resource, and many students have borrowed funds to invest in their education. Sometimes all it takes is a co-signer or co-borrower. For borrowing from friends & family, we recommend avoiding asking for money directly, but instead asking someone if they know of anyone who would be willing to invest in your education in exchange. You can even offer interest after you get your dev job. You might even be able to help them make more from their investment than they would make by other means.
Borrow from your retirement. Typically interest rates are very good, and the interest is simply paying yourself back and increasing your retirement balance. Think of how much you'll be able to grow your retirement when you're making $6-$8K per month with benefits?
Decide not to become a pro coder, sell off all your possessions, and become a goat farmer in rural Colorado (jk just checking to see if you read this far lol).
What students are saying...

"She is always there when I have questions"
“Before I joined the program I took a bootcamp for software testing, I spent some good money on it and it didn’t work for me. When I got stuck, there was no one to help or explain to me. When I first saw The Joy of Coding, it sounded very welcoming. I love the idea of learning at Joy of Coding “work smarter not harder.” Dr. Hill is extremely knowledgeable and fun to work with.
She is always there when I have questions. I didn’t have much confidence in the beginning but she stands by me and encourages me in each step throughout the course.
She makes programming easy to visualize the road map and understand the process.”

"Dr. Emily's Program Is Totally Worth It"
“I spent £2850 on a Bootcamp with eight other people here in the UK. This course took 11 hours a day, 6 days a week and by the end of it, I didn’t know how to program.
I then spent another three months self-studying on my own and became overwhelmed as there were concepts I needed help understanding. Emily’s program is designed to teach you where you are at and on your level. I already have grasped more fundamental knowledge of programming than what I thought I could.
I am looking forward to the next couple of months working with her and with her program. It is worth it!”

Former Student

"Dr. Emily’s python course enhanced my problem-solving skills, which is very important for my career and life. Her mentor style helped me think through & solve puzzling problems. I still remember some of the exercises five years later!
The internship project experience helps a lot. It was the first time of doing a software engineering project for me. I learned how to design the back-end system and user experience. More importantly, collaboration with teammates and communicating with clients prepared me for future challenges."
Daniel X.
Former Student

"Dr. Emily did an amazing job making her courses as engaging and interactive as possible. Almost every interviewer I've had has asked about a project I've done for Dr. Emily, and they were always very interested! If you're unsure about taking Dr. Emily's program, you won't regret it!
Dr. Emily's internship project played a huge role in my early career as a professional. Having no internship experience coming out of college, it was this project that really helped me in getting the opportunities I did."
